As an employee who is going through harassment and bullying in the workplace to the extent that she collapsed at work, after being harassed and bullied for over a year, I believe that the SCC is wrong in their decision.

It is in fact giving employers the go ahead to treat employees any way they want, without punishment.

This is very wrong, as the OHIP, CPP Disability, EI Sickness is all impacted by employee's being forced out of their workplace due to illnesses, not caused by their own doing. The health care system is already in trouble and this type of ruling is definitely not helping it.

OHIP also has a rule that states, "if an employee is out on sickness due to a third party", they want the Company to pay back all the monies it has cost for that employee to be out.

I was always taught to trust the law and the legal system, and if you had done nothing wrong, the truth would come out through these avenues. I'm sorry, but that belief is gone.
